Who Are We?
Lightning Ridge Community Church is home to a Christian family who seek to serve Jesus Christ as Lord in our daily lives. We strive to be Christ centred, Bible believing and gospel focused. We are young and old, from all walks of life, and welcome any visitors, aiming to be a supportive and encouraging Christian family to all those who come to us.
We are the westernmost church body in the Anglican Diocese of Armidale. Christians throughout Australia support us through the work of the Bush Church Aid Society (BCA). BCA's prayer support, Christian encouragement and financial contribution have ensured that long term ministry has remained viable in the Ridge for many years.
Our services are informal and friendly, and of course children are welcome. We also run a Kids' Church programme during school terms, and provide a crying room within the church to enable parents to listen while caring for their little ones.
9 a.m. weekly at Lightning Ridge
11.30 a.m. monthly (3rd Sunday) at Goodooga.
Our Focus:-
"God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only son Jesus, so that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
"God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."(Romans 5:8)
"In view of God's mercy, offer your bodies as 'living sacrifices', holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship."(Romans 12:1)
"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day of the Lord approaching." (Hebrew 10:24-25)
